My little sister

So tonight my little sister got engaged. I am so happy for her and Kyle. Here they are and then the RING….Way to go Kyle on the ring!!!:

Okay are my zinnias not the most prettiest flowers ever. When I look at this I think okay God you spent so much time designing just a one flower….I cant imagine the time that went into designing each human being….WOW:

This is one of my favorite things in the world….a cold glass of ice water with lemon….in one of my pretty glasses of course!!!:

My birthday dinner. My husband for my birthday found a recipe on Giada and cooked it for me. It was so incredibly yummy. He also made dessert. And I got my IPOD. Thank you babe for a wonderful birthday! You ROCK!!!!:

I had to post at least one garden picture. My carrots are growing. I pulled one out of the ground to see if there was really anything growing. And there is!!! And they are very good. Even that little one which I ate, was sweet and yummy. I cant wait till they are bigger!!! I tell you what doing the little gardening that I am doing, it makes me appreciate the farmers a lot more. They have a hard job:

Tomorrow when I have the time I will be putting up the pictures of Bryce cooking his “Egg in a blanket”. He has been making it every morning for breakfast for us. And it actually tastes really good. Okay it is 1:19 AM and I have a super busy day ahead of me.

Stuff

I feel like I have not written on here in weeks… it has only been a few days. We have been so busy with VBS for church and just stuff that needs to get done. VBS was awesome, it all turned out so pretty. And I think the kids all had a great time. I just love our children’s Pastors.

We leave next week for NM for 4th of July so I am starting to get ready for that. We were going to have a garage sale this weekend, but I was feeling a bit overwhelmed to do that, so we will do that in a few weeks. I can not believe we are at 4th of July already, this year is just flying by. I took Kaitlyn to her one year check up. She is a whopping 22 pounds. I was like no wonder my arms hurt when I hold you for a long time. My question is, if I am carrying around 22 pounds of love all day and chasing three other kids, then WHY am I not super skinny? HUH??? Why can’t I lose my baby tummy? It drives me nuts. My 4 year old asked me why my tummy was still fat. Ugh….I am thinking tummy tuck!!!!

Okay I am off to bed, I have to pick up my sister tomorrow, and try to stick to that schedule I wrote on here a while ago… that I have not stuck to once. See I just need to be more disciplined. No, it is just that I am busy and it is hard to stick to something unless I turn everything down and just stay home ALL DAY LONG….which I don’t want to do. I will figure it out one of these days. :)

Prayer

My friends child died this morning early of the horrible cancer called Neuroblastoma. There is no cure for this cancer and it took her precious life this morning. Please keep them in your prayers today and the days to follow. They are such a precious family. Even till the end their total confidence was in Christ. It never wavered as they walked this hard road. They had amazing faith, amazing peace, and I know that only God can give you that when you walk through something like death. I am waiting to hear when the funeral will be so I can attend. Here is the excerpt that they sent to all of us:

Yesterday at the clinic Karen asked Elesha if she was ready to go home to see Jesus. She said she was. Last night she struggled with her breathing in pain crying out in mostly incoherent speech. She was hemorrhaging inside and spitting up lots of blood. We cried and prayed. Sometime after 2:00 AM she cried out “I want to go home!” Around 3:00 AM I went down stares to cry out to God alone and asked him to come heal her in this house or do so in his house. I prayed for rest.

I went upstairs to find her lying on her back, still breathing hard but much calmer. I lay down beside her on my belly and she threw her left leg over the small of my back. This is a position she has always found comfortable. She then drifted off into a deep sleep and so did Karen and I. I awoke at 6:00 AM with her leg still resting on my back, but she was gone. Jesus stood by our bed last night and took her into his loving arms.

We are sad and hurting but not crushed. This morning, we held family worship time one last time while holding her hands. We thanked God for Elesha’s life, for the joy she brought us and for making her life shine like a star in the heavens.

With Christian hope,

Tony & Karen

On a lighter note, my little Kaitlyn is trying to take steps in her pack and play. She walks from one side to the other!!! I sat down on the outside of it and said, “No walking yet missy”. And she sat down in front of me and gave me the biggest grin ever. I just love her smile. It makes me smile. :) Well I am off to get the boys hair cuts and go to my fitness yoga class.

New Schedule

So I am trying to get more disciplined with my kids. Right now we really dont have a schedule that we follow. I mean we basically eat our meals around the same time every day and that is it. And if the kids get tired then we lay down for naps. But I want Chandler to get on a good routine so he is ready for Kinder. And Bryce thrives on a schedule. This will just be a basis for me to follow, but I have told the kids, Hey if we feel like going to the park…then we will go to the park, nothing is set in stone. :) I am going to start it tomorrow, since today is almost done. I just realized that tomorrow I am going Peach picking and my gym time is different since I am going to my fitness yoga and we were planning a date at the park with cousins after the gym. So I guess we will really be starting on Saturday. Oh wait I thought Saturdays were for sleeping in. :) You know what I am going to have to come up with a scedule for everyday or something. Does anyone out there have any good ideas when it comes to scheduling!!???

Chandler and his cousin Fiona sitting and eating there blueberries that they picked:

Benjamin… He kept saying these are so good mommy, Can I eat more?:

When they say to go out early in the morning, it is for good reason….see how HOT we were:

Ice-Cream for dessert:

Kaitlyn loved the blueberries. All the kids were feeding her. Though her nice white shirt that she had on…is now all stained. I am going to have to figure out how to get it clean:

SEE HOW BIG my green pepper is getting. I don’t think I have ever been so excited about green peppers before!:

YUMMY:

This all came from one corn seed:

I have yellow, white, pink, orange, red, burgundy, purple gladiolas all over my front yard:

Fun at the Park

We went to this beautiful Park today:

I think Ben like eating the bread… :)

See the UGLY DUCKLING…. I was feeling so bad for him because he looked different than the rest…

Fun in the Sun!!!

My handsome boys!!!!

I bought this little pool for the boys….thinking it was going to be way bigger than what it was!!! They had fun anyways!!! They were giggling so loud! It was great.

Wed we are going to the blueberry farm. And I can not wait to snap some photos of the kids there. I used to pick blueberries with my grandma and I have some really good memories there doing that! Well I have lots to do around the house today!

Aren’t my flowers so pretty. I am telling you what God is stinkin’ amazing. I would love to pick his brain on all the colors he used, textures, sizes, the outdoors is so amazing to me. What a creative God we have!

Birthday Girl

So we started out our birthday by Uncle David killing the snake below. He was about 4 feet long….SO GROSS!!!!

She is so precious:

Chocolate lover just like her mommy!:

Yummy Cake Mommy:

My ONE year Old:

This little girl is just so amazing to me. I love her smile. I love the sparkle that is in her eyes. I love her laugh. I love her kisses and snuggles. I love how she pats my back when I am holding her. I love when she says mama and dada. I love how she looks are her daddy. I love how when she starts to crawl she always stops and turns around to make sure I am still there watching her. I just love her to pieces! I know that Jesus has a special plan for her life. I can’t wait to see how he uses her!

Husband’s Casserole

If you are looking for a really simple meal, that is fast, yummy, and your kids and husband like…then you have to try this out:

1 pound ground beef
2 garlic cloves chopped
1 t sugar
1 t salt
1/4 t black pepper
2 cups tomato sauce
5 scallions
—————————
1 package of egg noodles
—————————
4 ounces of cream cheese
8 ounces of sour cream
1/2 cup shredded cheese
—————————
Start by cooking your beef. Once it is almost done add the next 6 ingredients. Cook till meat is cooked all the way through.
As your meat is cooking bring your water to a boil and cook your egg noodles. Drain. Dump them in a 13 by 9 inch pan.
Once the meat is done spread evenly on top of egg noodles.
Then mix the sour cream and cream cheese and spread evenly over meat mixture.
Then top with the 1/2 cup shredded cheese.
Cook this at 350 for 30 minutes. Let sit for a few minutes when you take it out of the oven. Then serve with your favorite vegetable.

Husbands Casserole

That’s it, I found the recipe at a friends and my family loved it, especially Tony and Benjamin.

The kids are still in VBS this week. I am getting so much done while they are there. I might be looking for another one for them to go to next week!

Tomorrow is Kaitlyn’s birthday. I bought her the cutest birthday outfit, that I will post some pictures of later this week. I can not believe she will be ONE. She is so joyful, and has so much love in her. I just love that girl to pieces. We are going to have her party Friday night with just family, and then Sunday we will go out with friends. We bought her a cabbage patch kid. She like babies. She holds a little one that she has and pats its back and coos. It is so sweet. :) Of course everything she does I think is so sweet.

“You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
Trust in the LORD forever,
for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.”
Isaiah 26:3-4

Sin

I saw this quote today and thought that it is so true! I wonder how many people would live a life of sin or even just sin occasionally if they had to pay the price right then and there. Probably not very many. “Sin wouldn’t be so attractive if the wages were paid immediately.”

This morning I was trying to make Kaitlyn breakfast and Ben wanted toast right NOW. So I said “hold your horses!” Then about 2 minutes later he was crying with his head down and I asked him what was wrong and he said, “I am not a horse mom”. He is my sensitive little guy. I felt so bad. He thought I was calling him a horse and he thought that was a bad thing!

Kaitlyn will be 1 on Thursday, so I am getting ready for another birthday party. I have not decided what kind of cake to do yet. It will definetly be a chocolate cake mix…since that is her favorite!! She loves chocolate! Just like her mommy. Man, she has good taste! Maybe I will make a lady bug since that is what her room is in! We will see!

As I am writing this Ben is in the kitchen yelling, “mom I am not eating the birthday cake!!!” What a stinker. I better go see what kind of mess he has made for me to pick up!
