“Bad RAP”

I thought this was really cute! Enjoy!

2 Snow days in a row!

Okay my kids are loving the snow. Mostly because they have not had to go to school 2 days in a row. And my house proves that they have been here for 2 days in a row. :) We are going to have serious clean up today!

This morning Chandler came and told me, “Mom did you know that Maxwell is really a big police dog stuck in a little dogs body!” Please Note:our dog is a 5 pound Yorkie! It was so funny, and I have no idea what possessed him to say that! :)

Well my laundry is OFFICIALLY totally out of control and that is what I will be spending my day working on. Um I need to finish up cleaning by noon today…that is when the house appraiser is coming to look at our home. NO we are not moving, We refinanced our home, and got a more incredible interest rate. If you are looking for someone to help you with that…we have contacts!

Okay so this post is really random! But before I start doing the laundry, I am very happy to say that my 4 year old Ben asked Jesus into his heart ONE night ago. He and Tony were talking before bed, he really wanted to pray with his dad, to make sure he went to heaven. Tony had explained to him that there was one way to heaven. It is not by our good works, by going to church, by just trying to be good, but asking the Lord to wash us of our sins and to come into our hearts. When he woke up the next morning, he came into the room very excited and said he was for sure going to heaven! :) Is that not so sweet! Totally made my day!

Have an awesome day, and enjoy your kids today!

Something to listen too…

Okay, if you are a lady reading this blog. I want you to go and listen to something. It is amazing. Yes it is an advocare call, but the lady talking is a former teacher, with a child who has special needs. She is very transparent on this call about motherhood, and life. If you are a MOM you need to listen to this. She talks about the battle within our minds as moms. I have listened to it twice because it was so good. I am not even listening to it because of Advocare, but because I am a mom. Go listen and let me know what you think of her!

No Greater Joy

Okay my friend recommend a website to me today. It is call No Greater Joy. So I want to pass it along. Under the Articles part there are some good ones on parenting. They have it broken down into categories. Now they are strict. I think with parenting, you have to take what works for each child and what works for your family. So I am reading through them jotting some mental notes down. Hope you enjoy it too!

Scottish-Rite

Well we have been recommended to the Scottish Rite hospital for the rest of Krystina’s care. I am hoping to hear from them in the next week, although they say it can take longer. And whatever appointment they give you, you have to take it. So that is kind of stinky, but it is free care, so I can’t really complain. :) Her legs really need the braces. So I am praying it is sooner, than later. :)

Our paperwork for the adoption is going well. I just finished the girls room, so when we have our homestudy…the room is done. I got the coolest scripture thing for there wall. It is “Every good and perfect gift comes from above James ?” I cant remember where it was found! But its really cool. It looks like it was stenciled on the wall. There room is all shabby chic. Very antique looking! I really like how it has turned out. I also made the girls bows the other day. They are like 5-8 dollars at Kid to Kid, I kept thinking “I could do this as well”. Never have though because we have not had the time. Well I did the other day and they turned out really cute. I will post pictures soon of it. Little girls are so much fun. :)

Speaking of little girls…the two “k’s” in my house. They are like “Double Trouble”. They can get in more trouble together. Very mischievous. They are the best little friends. They love to get there toes painted, get there hair done, have bubble baths, wear matching outfits. Kaitlyn screams out of excitement when they match. Now the downside of 2 girls almost the same age…they both have a high pitched scream, that is ear piercing! It kills my ears. Are my daughters the only ones that do this?

On another totally note, I am really trying to get on a good schedule. Can I be honest. I am having a really hard time with this. Trying to find what works for out family. What works for your families? They say it takes like 30 days to start a new habit. So I guess if I start something and work really hard at it for 30 days I would be good, right? I am trying to do the dishes every night, instead of waiting till morning. If i wait, then my day starts and often I get busy with other stuff, and then it is afternoon and I am trying to do dishes, and make another meal. Trying to do laundry EVERY single day. I don’t mind doing laundry, I hate putting it away and folding it. Trying to just be organized in general. Not just for my sake but the kids and Tony. I used to be so good at this, and 5 kids later, I am having a hard time. It is just harder to keep up, you know? Does anyone have any good advice?

Well, I guess I should get to those dishes since I just talked about them! :)

Our morning…

Kaitlyn walking around in high heels and her princess dress! Telling me how beautiful she is!

10 minutes later…

Kaitlyn says…”OH, mommy, Krystina is SOOSO smelly! I am going to change her”

I have to watch her, because she thinks she can change Krystina. :) Let’s say she is the little “mommy” here!

15 minutes later…

Ben says, ” mom I am SOOOOOOOOOO hungry”

This is after he has had bacon, scrambled eggs, and a bowl of cereal. I think he is growing!

Pray for Harper…

I came across this story and it touched me. Will you join me in praying for Harper.

Worshipping You..

Today. All I have the energy to do is worship him with a whisper…

Whisper His Name – Deluge

Whisper his name
(Jesus)
Whisper his name
(Jesus)
Whisper his name
(Jesus)
And He will come to you

Call on his name
(Jesus)
Call on his name
(Jesus)
Call on his name
(Jesus)
And he will come to you

Big Day

So tomorrow, we have the new paperwork signed! Can I just tell you that God is good. He is faithful. He is God, and I am just me. Just me…a vessel here. He has clearly orchestrated things in our life to bring us to this moment. Me and Tony were talking about the fact that last year this time, before we ever knew about Kim or Krystina. We felt like the Lord was telling us that lots of change was coming our way, but we had no idea what. One year later…look where we are. Lots of change has happened alright. But the Lord has taught us so much and he has really stretched us to our max. Now, in this season that we are in, my goal is to keep my thoughts continually on HIM, so we know the steps he wants us to take. This a new year with new challenges and tasks. If there is anything that holds us back in any sense, we are asking the Lord to remove it from us. We don’t just want to walk forward, but we want to RUN! Life is to short not too! :)

Attorney Meeting…

So we met with the attorney. It is the same attorney that did my oldest son’s adoption. So we felt like we were on our old stomping grounds. The GREAT news is that she thinks she can do the adoption for about 3-4000. So that is awesome. We have 1000 already, and we were given some other. So God is good. We know the rest will come in. We are working the Advocare like there is no tomorrow. And it pays, it pays well. So again I say, God is good! The biological mom signs her new paperwork Thursday, we get fingerprinted on Friday and they will start our criminal background checks. We will have our homestudy in about 2 weeks. So it is moving right along. Awesome huh? I am amazed at the Lord. He is good. I think I have now said that 3 times. :) The best thing is Krystina is doing so well. She is at such peace. A little girl who has her joy back!
